Manchester United Under-21s travel to London to take on West Ham United in their Premier League 2 clash at Rush Green, which is West Ham’s training ground.
United currently sit 10th in the table, but they are coming off the back of two consecutive wins in the league as the Young Reds beat Fulham 2-1 at Motspur Park and then in their very next game, they backed the win over FulhamĀ with a win over arch-rivals Liverpool at Leigh Sports Village, where they won 2-1.
West Ham on the other hand sit 12th in the table, but it looks as though the Hammers have turned the corner as they have won their last three games in the division, beating Wolves (3-1), Tottenham (1-0) and Everton (2-1) respectively.
Tonight’s game will be United’s third game in the month of January and before the months draws to a close, United are scheduled to play games against Feyenoord in the Premier League International Cup at Carrington on the 24th January and a Premier League 2 clash at home to Blackburn Rovers at Leigh Sports Village on the 27th January.
Brandon Williams played in the game against Liverpool last weekend and Zidane Iqbal skippered the Reds in that same game, and there is a possibility that they could start for Mark Dempsey’s side again tonight at West Ham’s training ground as they need minutes in their legs [Premier League].
This promises to be an exciting clash between two sides that are in good form and it is an important game for the Under-21s as they look to climb themselves up the table.
