Reading Women vs United Women Preview

|

Marc Skinner’s Manchester United Women take the journey down south to Reading on Sunday to play at two o’clock.

Reading currently sit in 10th place in the Women’s Super League on seven points, with their last game being a 3-2 loss to Everton away.

However, in the game before that, they did beat WSL 2 team Coventry United 4-0 in the Continental Cup. They will look to avoid the drop into the second division.

To do that they have to start winning and could that be against Manchester United Women on Sunday?

United Women are joint second with Arsenal Women towards the top of the Women’s Super League with both teams being one win off Chelsea in 1st with 28 points.

Both United Women and Arsenal Women do face opposition this weekend who are near the relegation spot with the Gunner’s opponents on Sunday being Brighton Women who are one place below Reading Women in 11th place in the Women’s Super League.

Manchester United Women manager Marc Skinner is expecting everyone to be on the team bus down to Reading, however WSL player of the month for December, Leah Galton is a doubt after a late fitness test.

The game kicks off on Sunday at two o’clock.
