Manchester United Women make the journey north to face Sunderland AFC Ladies on Sunday in the FA Women’s Cup fourth round.

The Black Cats beat Birmingham City Women in their last outing winning 3-1 away with Emily Scarr, Jessica Brown and Grace McCatty all scoring.

Manchester United also won in their last game as they beat Reading Women 1-0 with substitute Rachel Williams getting the vital goal late on.

As with most of United’s games this season they have dominated the ball against the bottom teams of the Women’s Super League and will be expected to against Sunderland on Sunday.

The team news coming out of the United camp this week is that all players at the club should be expected to fight for their place with Adriana Leon, Jade Moore and Maria Thorisdottir to be expected to start against the North East team.

One of the three new signings Estelle Cascarino could feature in the game, however Lisa Naalsund will not play having not played since the end of 2022.

Jayde Riviere is suffering a long term injury and will not be ready to start for United until March.

Marc Skinner’s side will look to progress to the fifth round of the cup as they look to earn the first piece of silverware for the United Women’s team.
