The defender joined United back in 2018 when the club were in its first year back as a professional club and according to the club’s official website, she has gone on to make 97 appearances for the club [Man Utd].

Her manager, Skinner spoke about his delight to see Turner rewarded with a new contract because of the qualities that she brings to United both on and off the pitch.

”Millie is a player who optimises what it is to play for Manchester United, on and off the field. Her personal journey is one that fully deserves this new contract, and we are delighted that her energy, enthusiasm, and all-round quality will remain a part of our special group” [via Man Utd]

It was important for United to secure the services of Turner because she is an important player for the Reds as according to Fotmob, the Englishman has played every game for United this season in the WSL, and she has scored one goal this campaign, which was against Arsenal in a dramatic 3-2 win at the Emirates Stadium, where she scored an 85th minute equaliser.

United are currently top of the WSL and Turner is expected to play a key role in helping United win the title and their next WSL game is against Everton at Leigh Sports Village on the 5th of February, however, before that Skinner’s side are in action away to Sunderland in the fourth-round of the Women’s FA Cup, which kicks off at 2pm UK time on Sunday.
