Manchester United Women were held to a goalless draw against Everton this afternoon in the Women’s Super League.
United Women manager Marc Skinner made two changes to the side which beat Sunderland a week ago, with Vilde Boe Risa and Martha Thomas making way for Hannah Ladd and Lucia Garcia.
Everton Women started off the game on the front foot as they were close to opening the scoring through Katja Snoeijs. Hanna Ladd struck a shot on her weaker left foot which slowly went past the Everton goal.

The Red Devils started to increasingly be more on the ball and looking to create chances. Ona Battle had an effort which went over the crossbar, halfway through the first half, as United kept looking for a goal to put them ahead.
Alessia Russo had two great opportunities to put the home side ahead but could not find the back of the net.
Lucia Garcia started to cause more problems for the Everton defence, with the best chance of the first half seeing her strike the ball upwards as it hit the frame of the goal.
Battle tried to find her fellow Spaniard Garcia in the six-yard box, however, the number 17 could not get to the ball.

Ella Toone hit the post a couple of seconds later as it was becoming more apparent that it might not be United’s day.
Not a lot of chances came either way for both teams in the second half as the game finished 0-0.
Manchester United’s Women’s next game is against Tottenham Women next Sunday at noon.
