With an escape clause in his current contract coming into force in June, Manchester United, according to the news source, the Manchester Evening News, reported that Manchester United were the favourites to land the Atletico Madrid striker, Antoine Griezmann.
However, as you’d suspect, there were other clubs looking to capitalise on the situation with Paris Saint-Germain, as always appears to be the case, keen to add to their squad.
But, according to the news source, Caught Offside, picking up on something reported by another news source, don balon, 28-year-old Griezmann has ruled out moving to the French club, thereby enhancing Manchester United’s chances of signing the player, although the fee stipulated in his contract, £103 million, may have some bearing on whether any deal comes to fruition.
Fingers crossed everyone, as we said in our original article, signing Griezmann would be a huge signal of our intent.
