United players pictured in training ahead of Reading match

The Manchester United players have been pictured training at Carrington ahead of the FA Cup tie against Reading at Old Trafford tomorrow night.

It was a cold one at the training ground as the players were spotted wearing gloves, however, they will be motivated to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup, and victory over Reading would put the Reds in a good position to reach the latter stages of the competition, however, there is a lot of hard work that needs to go in to achieving that.

United’s preparations for the game against the Royals ramped up as the club’s official media team tweeted the players readying themsleves for what is another important game in United’s hunt for silverware.

Raphael Varane, who was rested for the game against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night, was pictured going through jumping exercises, however, it remains to be seen whether he will feature against the Royals as United have a busy schedule so keeping the Frenchman fresh is vital because he has had injury concerns in the past.

Facundo Pellistri came on against Forest at the City Ground and he will be hoping to make his first start for United against the Championship side as he was photographed at training.

Jadon Sancho looked focused as he continues to make his way into the United squad following the successful completion of his individual programme, and it would be good to see him get minutes against Reading tomorrow night at Old Trafford.

Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho were seen smiling as was coach Benni McCarthy, who deserves a lot of credit for helping the United forwards this season.

Axel Tuanzebe was also snapped up at Carrington as he continues to make progress following his recovery from a long-term injury and Fred, who recently became United’ all-time appearance maker for a Brazilian player at United, was also seen at the training ground.
