Manchester United youth team player Charlie Savage will join League 1 team Forest Green Rovers on loan until the end of the season.
The Welsh international is the son of ex-Manchester United youth player Robbie Savage who is now known for being a pundit and commentator on BT Sport or the director of football for Macclesfield FC.
Charlie Savage, however has been in United’s academy for a while, playing as a central defensive midfielder he can operate and play as a central midfielder if asked to.

He signed his first professional contract whilst Ralf Ragnick was at United as the Austrian manager gave him his debut for the Red Devils against Young Boys in the Champions League with his dad commentating on the game at the same time.
He featured in United’s last game of the season in the matchday squad, also playing for Erik Ten Hag in pre-season where he had an outstanding game against Liverpool alongside fellow youth player Zidane Iqbal.
Not coming on in the Premier League game earlier last year showed that he still needs to be nurtured to play in the Premier League, hence why this move to Duncan Ferguson’s Forest Green Rovers makes sense for all parties involved.
