Raphael Varane has spoken about his admiration for the Manchester United fans as he told the club’s official website that he would love to watch a game with the Man United fans.

Varane was seen revving up the Manchester United fans after the full-time whistle of Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over rivals Manchester City and after the game, he spoke about his “connection with the fans” [via Man Utd].

Such is love and admiration for the fans, he was asked if he would like to join the United faithful in watching the Reds from the stands either at home or away, and the defender said that he “definitely” would.

“Yeah, definitely,” Varane told the club’s official media team on Friday with a smile. “I think if you really have this passion for the football, I think it is an amazing experience!” [via Man Utd].

The former Real Madrid defender says that such is the support of the fans, it feels as though United have a 12th man on the pitch and we have seen this throughout the season as the fans have helped United get over the line in huge matches such as Liverpool at home, City at home, Arsenal at home and the fans at Nottingham Forest on Wednesday were extremely loud.
“The atmosphere for this season is something amazing. I think it is a real support when we want to score a goal, when we have to defend the score, so I think it is very helpful when we are on the pitch. It is like having one more player” [via Man Utd].

Varane is hoping to feature for United this evening, when Erik ten Hag’s side take on Reading of the Championship at 8pm UK time this evening and the game will be shown live on ITV Sport for those in the UK.
