Casemiro Wins United Player of the month

|

It was announced earlier today that Manchester United’s midfield maestro Casemiro was the player of the month for the club.

Out of the 17 games, the Red Devils have played so far this season in all competitions, the Brazilian has started 14 games in all competitions scoring once and getting one assist as he has been an indispensable part of this team.

The former Real Madrid man made the move to the red side of Manchester after being at Los Blancos for nine years where he won the Champions League five times and La Liga three times he will go down as one of Real’s best-ever players.

The Sao dos Campos-born player originally played for Sao Paulo youth academy before playing for the first team for three years where he appeared 92 times.

He has had a brilliant club career so far but he has also been a part of a Brazil side which won the Copa America in 2019, playing alongside the likes of Neymar, Jesus, Fernandinho and Thiago Silva just to name a few.

At his time in Madrid, he also played in midfield with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos with current Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti saying early this year “I call Casemiro, Kroos and Modric the Bermuda Triangle, because the ball disappears there.”

Many United fans can and should be excited that one of the best midfielders in the past decade is here playing under Ten Hag because the experience he can pass on to fellow midfielders and players will be crucial in how United’s midfield will look in the future after he has left.
