|

In this instalment, we will do weekly feature on the Manchester United players who are currently out on loan at clubs in the UK and abroad in order to get valuable first team exposure and experience.

One player who caught the eye this week during the midweek round of EFL Championship fixtures was Amad Diallo, who is on loan at Sunderland. After a tricky start for the Ivorian, it seems as though he has settled on Wearside as he has scored two goals in his last three appearances, including one last night in a 2-0 win away at Huddersfield.

Alex Telles was another of the Man United loanee contingent who played in midweek as he came on as a half-time substitute for Sevilla during their 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in the final matchday of the UEFA Champions League. After the signing of Tyrell Malacia in the summer, the Brazilian was surplus to requirements. However, since joining the Spanish side he has 17 appearances this season, scoring 1 goal in the process.

Hannibal Mejbri is one of a few Man United academy graduates who has gone out on loan to gain valuable first team experience, and it is safe to say that he is gaining valuable experience at Birmingham. Mejbri has made the starting XI 5 times, as well being brought on as a substitute 7 times. He also scored against high-flying Queens Park Rangers in a 2-0 win at St Andrews.

Ethan Laird is another Man United academy star who is enjoying a fine season in the Championship under the highly-talented coach Michael Beale at Queens Park Rangers. The right-back, who played in the final pre-season match against Rayo Vallecano under Erik ten Hag, has enjoyed valuable minutes at QPR as he started 14 games, helping the Rs win 8 of those games.
