Worst Kept Secret In Football Confirmed As United Appoint Old Boy As Caretaker Manager

|

This morning Manchester United have confirmed that the 45-year-old Norwegian has been appointed as the caretaker manager after agreeing to a deal with his current club, the Norwegian outfit, Molde, that will see Solskjaer miss the start of the Norwegian season to stay with our club until the end of the year.

The news, confirmed by the BBC, will see Solksjaer return to Old Trafford after spending eleven seasons with us as a player.

Talking to the media, and as reported by our referenced source, Ole had this to say about the next exciting chapter of his career:

“Manchester United is in my heart and it’s brilliant to be coming back in this role.”

“I’m really looking forward to working with the very talented squad we have, the staff and everyone at the club.”

By some strange quirk of coincidence, Ole’s first game in charge of Manchester United will be against Cardiff City, this weekend, the very side he had a far from memorable spell with earlier in his managerial career.

Also announced this morning was that Mike Phelan will be returning to the club to work as Ole’s assistant with the managerial team completed by the existing duo of Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate Ole and Mike on their return to the club and we hope their stay will see the club move towards a more stable and successful future.
