Pochettino Appears To Be The Only Choice For Manchester United

|

With Jose Mourinho’s reign, at Old Trafford, confined to the history books, it remains to be seen what the future holds as far as a permanent managerial appointment.

With the clubs hierarchy having decided to appoint a caretaker manager, in the shape of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, it gives those who tread the hallowed corridors the chance to sit down and formulate a plan that will see Manchester United restored to the upper echelons of European football.

But, according to the media, and with the Telegraph, being a typical illustration of the point about to be made, Manchester United appear to have only one man in their sights, the Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine, who has had quite an impact at Tottenham Hotspur, since joining the North London club from Southampton, is seen as the man who will reinvigorate our club, bringing back the passion and style of football that helped make us one of, or if not the, most famous clubs in the game.

Unfortunately, Pochettino, if Manchester United can lure him away from North London, will come at a price with our source reporting that Manchester United would have to pay something akin to £42 million in compensation to Tottenham Hotspur for Pochettino.

But, with our stock, according to our start to the season, at an all-time low, those who run our club are aware that the next appointment just has to be the right one.

However, it remains to be seen whether Tottenham would be willing to do a deal or even whether Pochettino would be interested in taking on what is, undoubtedly, a huge challenge.

Now that remains to be seen.

Untd are such an average team now that they will spend the foreseeable future in the wilderness , the days of Untd under Fergie or Busby winning everything in sight are well and truly over

So United think that it could take (horror upon horrors) £40m to lure Poch to Old Trafford?
The price of a mediocre midfielder in today’s market?
To be frank it will cost Tottenham Hotspur a far far greater amount should Poch leave for the
siren call of a sinking ship.
The potential break up of a ‘together’ squad with key players leaving because
of their desire to play under Poch at Spurs. The abrupt end of a 4 year project, with Spurs
being (City apart) the most overall successful PL team in that time. The end of a period
where (despite having no home for 18 months) Spurs have built and competed successfully
with the best clubs out there in Europe. And, as Tottenham finally verge on scaling the heights
they once knew years before, and with trophies on the horizon, it suddenly ends?!!
No. If Poch is crazy enough to leave this great Spurs project (and personal legacy) behind for the mad house of Man U or Real Madrid, then that’s up to him. But Levy should demand £400m not £40m in order to allow for the project to get back on track in the wake of Poch’s untimely and absurd departure ..when the Argentinian had it all laid on a plate for him at Tottenham, the growing super-power.

Totally agree, plus a lot more for Poch’s staff
It’s about time the fans and so called pundits realize Man U are no longer up with the worlds best, they are not even the best club in Manchester.
It will take a fool to leave the team spirit in the Spurs dressing room to go and manage the huge egos in the UTD dressing room where the wages matter more than the team.
Players giving high fives because Jose was sacked should be ashamed and kicked out, where does their loyalty lie and what will happen if they don’t agree with the new manager?

Man Utd were a mid table team for many years before Alex Ferguson. They are back where they were.
Self entitled, self proclaimed “biggest club in the world” are a symptom of just how badly some football clubs are run and how some people believe their own fantasies.
Why would Spurs strengthen a direct rival and allow them a free pass back in to the top 4 at their expense.
Where is the legacy of the Ferguson years, promoting from within, mindful of their tradition?
Man Utd have messed up, their last 3 managerial appointments are proof of that, they are directionless and mediocre, that`s the way it is! And that`s the way it will stay until they once again learn how to do things properly. Spurs took 20 years to reach the level they were at before they were in the unfortunate position of losing ground to the other big 4/5 as the Premiership started. They are now back where they belong and no mickey mouse club can push them around
