United players pictured in training ahead of Forest clash

Manchester United preparations for the Nottingham Forest game got underway at Carrington as the players readied themselves to play in the League Cup semi-final, which is the stage that they have reached for the third time in four seasons.

Jadon Sancho was pictured similing by the United media team as he steps up his reintegration into the United squad since successfully completing his individual programme.

Kobbie Mainoo and Zidane Iqbal were also pictured and the pair will be hoping to make the matchday squad for the visit to the City Ground.

Casemiro missed the game against Arsenal because of suspension but he was out on the grass with his team-mates as they get ready for an extremely important game against Steve Copper’s side.

Those who did not start the game against Arsenal on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium were photographed by the club’s media team, which means the likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof were present at training, and it is likely that the pair will start because Erik ten Hag needs to rotate his squad to ensure that it they fresh for United’s busy and condensed schedule.

Alejandro Garnacho was also seen training with the main group but there was no sign of Diogo Dalot or Anthony Martial, which suggests that the pair might not make it in time for the Forest game.

The game between United and Forest kicks off at 8pm UK time on Wednesday, and the game will be shown live on Sky Sports for those in the UK.
