United Defender Will Not Be Allowed To Join Arsenal This Transfer Window

|

The January transfer window will be open for just over another week.

So far, it’s fair to say that Manchester United haven’t been actively involved in the deals that have been signed, sealed and delivered.

Although we’d like to see a little bit of action, here at Vital Manchester United, we’re realistic enough to acknowledge that with the upturn in form and with Ole Gunnar Solksjaer only being (at the moment) in a caretaker role, it’d be foolish to expect major deals to be done.

Today, lurking in the pages of the Daily Mail,is the inference that the Old Trafford hierarchy have put the block on one of the current squad leaving.

According to our referenced source, our 24-year-old central defender, Eric Bailly, will not be allowed to leave Old Trafford.

Seemingly, Arsenal were keen to take the centre-back on loan with a view to a permanent transfer taking place at the end of the season.

To us, it makes good sense.

Bailly remains an asset and with Arsenal set to compete with Manchester United for a top-four finish and subsequent qualification for the Champions League next season, do we really want to aid them in their quest?
