Two Strikers on Man United Radar

|

According to GiveMeSport Tammy Abraham and Jonathan David are on Manchester United’s radar.

After United’s failed pursuit of Cody Gakpo who was heavily linked to a move to Old Trafford, boss Erik Ten Hag is looking at other options in the striker position.

With both Roma striker Tammy Abraham and Lille forward Jonathan David are on the list of contention on who the Reds should move for.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano said, “Jonathan David, I’m told that soon, many clubs will move and there is a great, great chance for him to make a move in 2023.”

The reason that Abraham is being linked in a move to Manchester is that Italian media outlet Calciomercato has said that both United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the 25-year-old.

David if would make the move to Old Trafford would cost United around £48 million, he has made himself known in Europe since his move from Belgium club Genk in 2020.

Scoring 41 goals in 111 appearances not as a striker is a decent tally with him playing behind the striker as a 10, however, Ten Hag is looking for a striker who can provide goals and link play well, so would Jonathan David be the right option?

The opposite in playstyle from the Lille number nine is Tammy Abraham who is more of a traditional number 9, holding play up well, good in the air and can finish.

Unfortunately for the former Chelsea player, he has only scored four goals in 20 games in all competitions this season for Roma, which the sporting director John Murtough might be put off at United.

Who do you think United should get Jonathan David or Tammy Abraham?
