Things Are Not Getting Any Better For Manchester United’s Goalkeeper

|

The last time, here at Vital Manchester United, we covered the trials and tribulations of Sergio Romero, it was not good news for the Argentine keeper.

We reported on how the 33-year-old, through no fault of his own, had been left out of the Manchester United Premier League squad – manchester-united-name-their-25-man-premier-league-squad-and-there-are-two-unfortunate-omissions.

Despite never having let the club down, when called upon, the return of Dean Henderson had seen Romero drop down the Old Trafford pecking order.

Well, it now seems that his fortunes have suffered another blow.

According to The Daily Mail, a proposed move to Inter Miami has fallen through.

As the situation stands, it is looking increasingly as if Romero will have to stay at Old Trafford until January 2021 when the winter transfer window opens.

Personally, I would like to see Romero and the club come to an agreement whereby his existing contract is cancelled thereby giving the goalkeeper the perfect opportunity to find a new club and get back to playing.

Is that too much to ask for?
