There Could Be A Problem Looming On The Horizon When It Comes To Manchester United Possibly Concluding This Deal

|

Yesterday, here on Vital Manchester United, we covered a piece of transfer tittle-tattle relating to a possible addition of a forward to the Old Trafford squad.

Our article – another-winger-could-be-on-manchester-uniteds-wish-list – covered United’s possible addition of the 22-year-old Fiorentina striker, Federico Chiesa.

Twenty-four hours later it appears that concluding any such deal might not be as easy as we might have anticipated.

According to The Sun, although his club, Fiorentina, might be willing to sell the player, with a fee of £60 million mentioned, the player is quite happy where he is with the Fiorentina president, Rocco Commisso, quoted by our source as having remarked about the situation:

“I want players who are happy to stay.

“As far as Chiesa is concerned, I promised him that if the right offer arrives and he wants to leave, we can satisfy him.

“In recent months we haven’t talked about it, but the situation in Florence has also changed in his eyes.

“The goal is to make a stronger team for the next year – and doing better in the league.”

Our view is that if the player isn’t keen to make the move then the club should look elsewhere even if Chiesa’s versatility, whereby he can play anywhere in a front three, would make him a decent acquisition.
