Slowly The Smiles Are Returning At Old Trafford

|

The win, against Fulham, at Old Trafford, was the first Manchester United had achieved, in the Premier League since early November.

With Manchester City suffering their first defeat in the Premier League, away to Chelsea, the gap between the two clubs has been chopped to a mere fifteen points!

The win also lifted Manchester United two places in the Premier League to sixth, within striking distance of a much-needed top-four place thereby guaranteeing a place in the Champions League next season.

But more importantly, it might just see that dark cloud that has been hovering over Old Trafford, recently, drift away.

The first signs of just such a possibility came in Jose Mourinho’s post-match press conference when even Jose Mourinho, who has looked as if he has had the weight of the world on his shoulders in recent times, cracked a smile.

According to the news source, the Express, when Jose noticed there was a lack of water on the table, the boss smiled and asked if the money was being saved to put towards the possible January transfer window expenditure.

Next Sunday, Manchester United travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool, before that they face Valencia away from home in a Champions League group game, two more wins will certainly see those smiles broaden.
