United Vying With Tottenham Hotspur For Acquisition Of Young Striker

|

The quest to bring new talent to Old Trafford is a never-ending one.

Searching for that young player who could go on to become a superstar is something tasked to the numerous scouts that are affiliated to Manchester United Football Club.

Achieving the above can save millions in transfer fees.

Lurking in the media today is the inference that Manchester United might be preparing to take a punt on a 20-year-old striker who is currently playing in Romanian football.

According to the tabloid publication, the Sun, Manchester United are vying with Tottenham Hotspur for the services of Dennis Man.

Man, just 20-years-of-age, is currently on the books of the Romanian side, FCSB, a club you may know better under the former identity of Steaua Bucharest.

The youngster may only have scored 7 goals in 22 appearances this season but he must be doing something right if we and Tottenham are keen to acquire his services.

As an aside, any sale FCSB makes will also see them make a healthy profit after they paid just £360,000 for the player back in 2016.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we’ll keep an eye out for any further developments and report back as deemed appropriate.

From the limited action I’ve seen him in, Dennis Man is a forward in the mold of Lingard, not a striker like Lukaku. He isn’t expected to be too prolific in front of net, but he is fast, creative, and still chips in with goals. If United can get him for a decent fee, he’d be worth a punt, I think.
