United Must Fork Out A Colossal Amount Of Money To Land Their Main January Transfer Target

|

One of the most highly rated central defenders in Europe is Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Senegalese international centre-back, currently on the books of the Serie A side, Napoli, has long been admired by Jose Mourinho.

Indeed, it is being suggested that Koulibaly is Manchester United’s top transfer target once the January transfer window opens.

But, according to the news vehicle, the Times, his club, Napoli, are in no rush to sell their asset and if Manchester United insist on a sale then the price will be a colossal £90 million.

The reason for the astronomical price is that, unlike some Serie A clubs, Napoli do not have any financial worries.

However, our source does mention that the door, relating to a move, could be nudged open if Napoli crash out of the Champions League, in midweek, at the hands of Liverpool.

But, even then, a deal is by no means certain of being made.

But the big question remains, is any centre-back worth that possible colossal outlay?
