It`s all quiet on the domestic front as the international scene takes over and rudely interrupts the Premier League.
News is relatively scarce although, if you dig deep enough, there is a smattering of news to bring to you.
One piece covers relatively old ground but possibly with a new twist.
Our friends over at the Independent, have cranked up the discussion of the possibility / probability of Wayne Rooney leaving Old Trafford this summer.
Already there has been huge speculation that having broken the Manchester United all-time scoring record, Rooney`s days at the club are numbered.
Talk of a move to the Chinese Super League, before the transfer window in that part of the world came to nothing, talk of a move to the MLS went in a similar direction.
However, talk of a return to his former club, Everton, refuses to go away and our referenced source is of the opinion that a return to the club where it all-started is most likely on the cards this summer.
If it happens, it`ll be strange to see Rooney playing in the familiar blue of Everton against the club with whom he`s achieved so much.
But then again, as we`ve said before, nothing surprises us in this game anymore.
