Tonight, over in Dortmund, England play a friendly fixture against their old rivals Germany.

The fixture will give the England boss, Gareth Southgate, the opportunity to run the rule over his team against opponent of a high quality.

However, on the striker front Southgate has seen his options somewhat diminish courtesy of injuries to Harry Kane, Wayne Rooney and Daniel Sturridge.

Ahead of the intriguing clash there is the suggestion that having been called into the senior squad, Marcus Rashford may be given the opportunity to lead the line.

Talking about the teenage striker, before the squad headed off to Dortmund, Southgate remarked to the press about Rashford,

“Marcus was excellent against Chelsea and makes powerful runs in behind defenders.

“He wants to learn, wants to improve, has a good view on the game. For a young player he has intelligent input when you ask him tactical things.”

Will Marcus Rashford be given the chance to show what he can do this evening?

Let`s keep our fingers crossed and hope Southgate puts his faith in him.
