Midfield Target Is No Longer A Necessity For Manchester United

|

Earlier this month, speculation emerged suggesting that Manchester United were looking to bolster their midfield.

Seemingly, the assumption was based on the possibility that a disillusioned Paul Pogba might be heading for the Old Trafford exit.

The player Manchester United were being linked with was the Barcelona midfielder, Ivan Rakitic.

At 31-years-of-age we questioned whether the experience he had gained in the game would compensate for the fact he was no spring chicken.

However, according to the news source, the Evening Standard, Manchester United’s interest in the player has died down, following the news that Paul Pogba, as covered by our good selves, Click Here, has, after discussions with Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, decided that the future, for him, is with Manchester United.

Quite how Rakitic feels about the latest development becomes, just like our argument relating to age versus experience, now becomes irrelevant.
