Manchester United Linked With The Acquisition Of Barcelona Striker

|

With the closure of the transfer window drawing closer by the day, I do not believe that Jadon Sancho will, this summer, become a Manchester United player.

His club, Borussia Dortmund, appear in no rush to sell the player and are, despite Manchester United offering a large sum for the player, resolute when it comes to holding out for their full asking price.

With that being the case, speculation is starting to ramp up as to who Manchester United might try to bring in as a replacement.

One name, suggested by The Mirror, is that of the Barcelona forward, Ousmane Dembele.

Dembele, a French international, is a player with considerable talent and, if he and Barcelona were happy to do a deal, would cost Manchester United a pretty packet.

But is Dembele the man for us?

The reason I ask is that, since joining Barcelona in August 2017 for a fee of €105 million, the 23-year-old has been struck by persistent injury problems that have seriously affected the number of games he has played for the Catalan giants.

Although a talented individual, my thoughts are that Manchester United, purely because of that injury record should be looking elsewhere.

But do you agree?
