It’s interesting to read the speculation relating to the immediate future of an emerging young striker in the media.

I say interesting because the striker in question, Erling Braut Haaland, only made the move from Red Bull Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.

But since moving to Dortmund, the 19-year-old has continued to flourish and the inference is made by Mundodeportivo that a gaggle of clubs are looking to persuade Borussia Dortmund, albeit with a huge transfer fee, to part company with their young Norwegian striker.

Among the gaggle of clubs, a list which includes Manchester United, are Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.

At 19-years-of-age, Haaland is still learning his trade but if his progress continues at the same rate, there’s no doubt that this youngster will emerge as one of the best strikers in the world.

But the big question remains, do Manchester United have the clout to sign the player, if his club are willing to sell him, especially with the likes of Real Madrid also sniffing around?
