Manchester United And Juventus Mentioned In Possible Huge Player Swap Deal

|

A piece of transfer speculation emerged twenty-four hours ago that could be considered very intriguing.

Lurking in the pages of The Sun is the inference that Manchester United could be prepared to co-ordinate a swap deal.

The deal, according to our referenced source, would see Paul Pogba leave Old Trafford and the exciting Dutch centre-back, Matthijs de Ligt, leaving Juventus to join Manchester United.

Those with long memories may recall that last summer, Manchester United were looking to sign de Ligt but were thwarted when the young defender signed for the Turin based club.

However, our quoted source reports that de Ligt has failed to settle in Serie A and could be available with the Premier League being his preferred option as opposed to La Liga.

If the deal can be completed it would see Pogba get his wish to return to Juventus while also provide Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to deploy a back three of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Matthijs de Ligt, a mouth-watering prospect.

However, here in the editorial chair, I’ll not be counting my chickens before they’ve hatched, but I will admit this piece of speculation has got me excited, how about you?
