Yesterday, as we surveyed the growing amount of column inches relating to the possibility of Manchester United signing the Leicester City centre-back, Harry Maguire, we mused uniteds-bid-to-sign-defender-is-now-a-race-against-the-clock.
But with Leicester City wanting an extortionate fee for their asset, £90 million, could Manchester United be on the verge of looking for an alternative solution to their defensive ails?
According to the European media source, lesport10.com that could very well be the case.
Manchester United are now, increasingly, being linked with a move for the Barcelona and French international centre-back, Samuel Umtiti.
The 25-year-old, as indicated by his wiki profile is a top-notch defender and somebody who would surely improve our defence.
But it remains to be seen whether the player would welcome a move to the Premier League and whether the two clubs could do a deal.
However, if push came to shove, I’d have to admit I’d certainly prefer Samuel Umtiti to come to the club as opposed to Harry Maguire.
But is that a view you share?
