United Defender Considering Leaving The Club But Would He Be Missed?

|

Five years ago, Manchester United signed the Argentine defender, Marcos Rojo.

The defender signed for £16 million has never really established himself as a first choice in the starting eleven.

The 29-year-old has been hit with injury problems and also a loss of form and it now appears his time with the club could be coming to an end.

According to ESPN, the defender is happy to look for another club if it is confirmed that his first-team opportunities will be limited next season.

To us, here at Manchester United, it seems a sensible approach.

Rojo is at the age whereby he should be playing regularly and although he has performed well in Manchester United’s pre-season tour, I can’t see him being anything more than a squad player, even more so if, as we suspect, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer gets his wish and signs a world-class centre back.

But what are your views on Marcos Rojo?

Do you agree with my summary or can you see him finally fulfilling his potential and becoming a regular in the starting eleven?

Please feel free to drop your viewpoint into the comment facility beneath this article.
