Former Manchester United Striker Urges Old Trafford Target To Sign For The Club

|

Earlier this week, here on Vital Manchester United, we continued to cover the transfer tittle-tattle linking Jadon Sancho with a move to Old Trafford.

Our article – great-news-for-manchester-united-fans-as-massive-signing-becomes-a-real-probability – covered the fact that it was being reported that Manchester United’s chances of signing the player had increased with his current club, Borussia Dortmund, believing 20-year-old Sancho was headed for Old Trafford this summer.

Today, yet more column inches have appeared in the media courtesy of The Sun, with the red-top carrying some interesting views, relating to the possible deal, from a player who played for Manchester United not that long ago, one Dimitar Berbatov.

Berbatov, speaking to the media and as reported by our source, has remarked:

“There’s been a lot of talk about Jadon Sancho moving to Manchester United.

“In his case, because he’s English and Man Utd are in for you, I don’t think he will think twice about moving there.

“He could be a great addition, he needs to step up, play, score and advance to the next stage of development.”

He certainly would be a great addition adding something to the squad as we seek to narrow the gap between ourselves and those who are challenging for the Premier League title.

But, continuing, Berbatov further added:

“Solskjaer is slowly, but surely, building up a team of young players with a mix of experience, and as we can see, it has been getting results.

“So it’s good to see them moving in the right direction and if Sancho is next then it will be great for the team.”

“He has the quality, the pace, the goals and the assists to play for them.

“I’m sure he would like to continue in the national team as well and Gareth Southgate will watch him more if he is playing in the Premier League.

“If they get him he is going to be a great addition.”

However, we should point out that any such deal is far from, at present, to happen.

As our referenced source points out, Chelsea are also interested in Sancho and following their transfer ban, the West London club have the financial clout to seal a deal.

Furthermore, and this could be a crucial factor, Sancho was a boyhood Chelsea fan.

I can’t help but feel there is a long way to go before this exciting youngster seals his future at whatever club he feels best suits his career.
