Does Matic’s Absence From The Starting Eleven This Season Spell The End For The Serbian At Old Trafford

|

One point that may have been noticeable with Manchester United having gotten their 2019 / 2020 season underway is that Nemanja Matic has been conspicuous by his absence.

The thirty-one-year-old has yet to feature at all this season with Ole Gunnar Solksjaer preferring to use Scott McTominay instead.

As a result, The Mirror, is reporting that the Serbian international is looking for something akin to showdown talks with Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

Matic, who cost Manchester United £40 million when he was signed from Chelsea, was a regular starter under our previous boss, Jose Mourinho.

But, with McTominay now, seemingly, the first choice, could Matic’s time at Old Trafford be set to come to an end.

Could there even be a parting of the ways before the transfer window shuts in Europe with a loan deal a possibility or are we being foolish in writing the experienced campaigner off?

I think Ole is loosing it by trying to use kids only. We need a bit of experience to sure up our midfield. These Kids are not as good as Fergie’s Fledglings. They should be introduced gradually. I think Matic can still do a good job.

Perhaps not currently playing will stir Matic back to the kind of form he is capable of if given a chance.
