Denzel Dumfries will Not Join Man United

Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries will not be joining Manchester United in the upcoming transfer window.

Confirmed by Italian journalist Fabrizio Roman0 on the United Stand, Romano said “I don’t see a deal for Dumfries.” As United keep looking for a right back.

The Netherlands international had a good World Cup starting and playing in all five games as Holland lost to the eventual winners Argentina in the quarter-finals when it went to penalties and the South American country went through.

Dumfries was sent off in extra time after two yellow cards, however, that did not summarise his performances for the whole of the tournament.

The Inter Milan number two moved to Northern Italy from PSV Eindhoven two seasons ago for a fee around the region of £14 million after playing in 124 games for the Dutch club he impressed.

Very much like now a lot of clubs in Europe were interested but he decided to join Inter and manager back then Antonio Conte as they won the Scudetto the season he joined, helping end Juventus’s nine-title unbeaten streak.

Now having Champions League experience and being at one of the top teams in Europe playing consistently and performing, clubs around Europe have now again started to be interested in the 26-year-old.

With United now not getting the defender it looks like fellow Premier League club Chelsea could be at the front of the race to get his signature.

Do you feel that United have lost out on Dumfries?
