Anthony Taylor to Officiate Arsenal vs United

|

Manchester United face Arsenal on Sunday but who will be officiating the match between the two rivals.

The English referee lives in Altrincham and supports his local team Altrincham FC. Altrincham have links with Manchester United.

One being that the youth players at United were able to play at the J Davidson Stadium, which then became a yearly thing. Marcus Rashford played there against Chelsea in an Under 18 game. Another link between the two clubs is that they have a relationship due to being the two best clubs in Trafford.

Much like how a lot of Manchester City fans support Stockport County as there second team, the same goes for United fans with some fans having their second team as Altrincham.

Some fans especially Arsenal fans might think Anthony Taylor could be biased due to the close proximity to him and Old Trafford, however he is there to do a job of refereeing the game which he will look to do well in this massive game.

The game between Arsenal and United kicks off at 4.30pm UK time and for those in the UK, the game will be shown live on Sky Sports in what is a hugely significant game for both sides.
