Mikel Arteta spoke to the media yesterday afternoon and the Gunners boss praised the job that Erik ten Hag and the Dutchman’s coaching staff have done in such a short space of time.

Ten Hag has United currently in third in the Premier League and they are two points behind Manchester City in second. The United manager has won plaudits for the way that he has turned Manchester United around because last season the club finished in a disappointing sixth place in the Premier League and their opening two games of this season did not go according to plan as they lot their opening two games of the season.

Arteta says that ten Hag and his coaching staff deserve a lot of credit for the way they have transformed United’s fortunes after two crushing defeats to Brighton at home and Brentford away back in August..

“Really impressive. I think he’s turned things around pretty quickly. He has implemented a very clear way of playing. I think the players seem like they’ve bought into it, they have really good energy around the place. And a lot of things have changed in a very short period of time so credit to him and and the coaching staff for what they’ve done” [via Arsenal].

The game between Arsenal and Man United at the Emirates Stadium kicks off at 4.30pm UK time and for those who are in the UK, the game will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event or Sky Sports Premier League on Sunday.
