Young Defender Set To End Current Loan Spell To Look For Another Club

|

It is always a gamble when a player is sent out on loan.

The main priority always has to be regular first-team action, something that is invariably promised when such deals are discussed.

But, unfortunately, it doesn’t always work out like that.

Back in the summer, a season-long loan move to Fulham, just promoted to the Premier League, would have seemed like the ideal opportunity for our 21-year-old Dutch defender, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, to get some much-needed regular first-team action.

However, in what has been a troubled return to the Premier League for the Craven Cottage based club, Fosu-Mensah hasn’t seen those ambitions realised.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the news source the Times, is reporting that Fosu-Mensah wants Manchester United to cut short his loan spell with the Cottagers and move to another club in January.

However, whether the youngster can get a move to another Premier League club or may have to drop into the Championship remains debatable.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we’ll keep a close eye out for any developments and report back as deemed appropriate.
