Caretaker Boss Bestows The Ultimate Praise On Marcus Rashford

|

Before the departure of Jose Mourinho, our 21-year-old striker, Marcus Rashford, was being linked with a move away from the club.

The speculation had emerged courtesy of the fact Rashford wasn’t a regular in the Manchester United starting eleven and was often played away from his preferred central striking position.

Rashford found himself in this position after Mourinho had sanctioned the signings of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

Sat here in the editorial chair, I wondered whether the lure of Real Madrid might prove irresistible for the youngster.

However, five games into the caretaker reign of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, a much happier picture is being painted with the tabloid publication, the Daily Star, inferring that Ole Gunnar Silksjaer has told Rashford he is the number one striker at the club.

If correct, what marvellous confidence boosting chat that must have been for the lad who has come through the ranks and has seen the club pay a huge fee for Lukaku whilst also committing to pay Sanchez the highest weekly salary a player has ever had at Old Trafford.
