United Looking To Sign A Youngster With A Growing Reputation

|

Scouting is an integral part of the set-up of any club, even more so in the Premier League where clubs have an army of scouts looking for players that can improve the squad, obviously at the right price.

But most clubs also have an array of scouts combing the lower leagues looking for that rarity, a young talent lurking in lower league football that could, quite possibly, develop into a star of the future.

One such young talent, currently playing in League Two, is Antoine Semenyo.

The 19-year-old is currently on loan at Newport County, from his parent club Bristol City.

This season he’s netted on six occasions but it is his performance in the recent FA Cup 3rd round tie, whereby he helped his team knock out Premier League Leicester City that has seen his stock rise.

According to the tabloid publication, the Mirror, Manchester United and Chelsea are vying for his signature, a point confirmed by something the Bristol City loan manager, Brian Tinnion, is quoted by our source as having remarked:

“I was sat with a Man United scout at Newport the other week, to be honest, and they really like him.”

Here’s hoping that Manchester United can get the player on the cheap and that this unpolished diamond goes on to become a superstar.
