United forward has impressed club great

Manchester United legend, Ji-Sung Park says he has been impressed by Marcus Rashford at this year’s World Cup.

Park is currently at the World Cup in Qatar working for South Korean TV, and he says that he has been impressed by Rashford and one other England player, even though he admitted that it was hard to decide what player has impressed him when speaking to Sky News.

“It’s difficult,” he admitted. “Actually, if I choose one, probably [Jude] Bellingham and the other was [Marcus] Rashford. These two players were great through the group phase.”

It is not a surprise that Park, who was vital part of a trophy-laden era at United from 2005-2012 said that Rashford was one of his standout England players because he has been in excellent form for England, scoring three goals and grabbing one assist and it was his Player of the Match performance against Wales that caught many people’s eye during the group stages.

The United number 10 struck an unstoppable free kick that left Wales ‘keeper Danny Ward with no chance, and then he completed his brace with a left foot strike that sealed the win for England and ensured they topped the group.

This meant that they faced African Cup of Nations champions, Senegal in the Round of 16, where England won 3-0. However, the United academy graduate did not start the game but he did come on with 25 minutes remaining and he could have added to his already impressive three goals at the World Cup but his shot hit the side netting after combining with his United team-mate Luke Shaw.

Next up for Rashford and the Three Lions is a mouthwatering clash against France, which kicks off at 7pm UK time on Saturday night.
