Solksjaer Really Needs To Carry Out That United Threat

|

It really has been a season to forget!

It ended with a 2-0 home defeat inflicted upon a struggling United side by relegated Cardiff City, of all clubs.

The Jose Mourinho era ended and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer breezed into Old Trafford and made an instant impact.

Such was that impact, the belief was reignited that United might clinch a top-four spot and a lucrative Champions League place, next season.

But those same dark clouds that dogged Mourinho’s reign in the final few months descended again and that Champions League dream never materialised.

Instead, we’re faced with the horrors of obscure away trips, on a Thursday evening, in the Europa League.

Following the defeat inflicted by Cardiff City, it appears, according to the red-top publication, the Sun, that the Norwegian didn’t mince his words during the post-match inquest.

Our quoted source is reporting that Solksjaer’s fury was such that he threatened to sell half the squad this summer.

Personally, I hope he goes through with it, this under-achieving, under-performing squad needs a major clear-out and this summer is exactly the time to do it, even if some supposed star names get sold.
