Solksajer And Victories A Run That Just Goes On And On

|

Last night, Manchester United, under the caretaker stewardship of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, produced an impressive performance to knock our top-four chasing Premier League rivals, Arsenal, out of the FA Cup.

The tie, at the Emirates Stadium, was supposed to push Manchester United all the way, instead, the side came away with an emphatic 3-1-win, courtesy of goals from Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial.

The victory also maintained Solksjaer’s run of victories, since taking over the managerial helm, to a very impressive eight, further enhancing his chances of being given the job on a permanent basis when a decision is made on the position, at the end of the season.

But with Solksjaer having won all eight of his games in charge, we’re wondering just how long the likeable and knowledgeable Norwegian can keep the run going.

Looking at the forthcoming fixtures, Manchester United welcome Burnley, to Old Trafford, this Tuesday, for a Premier League game, a fixture we should be confident of winning.

Then, next weekend, Manchester United travel to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City, again another fixture that we’d expect to win.

Next on the Premier League agenda is a trip to West London to take on a Fulham side who look destined to fill one of the relegation places, once again we’re confident of success.

If the above, goes as we predict, Solksjaer will have won his first eleven games in charge, a remarkable achievement and surely one for the record books.

But what about the twelfth?

Now that could be the tricky one with Manchester United welcoming Paris Saint-Germain, to Old Trafford, for a Champions League tie, tricky, tough but winnable?

I guess we’ll soon find out!
