Sancho working hard in Holland

|

A video clip on Twitter has been doing the rounds on social media and it shows Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho partaking in an individual training drill.

Sancho, who was not selected as part of Gareth Southgate’s 26-man England squad to go to Qatar has been using this time wisely as the footage shows to improve on aspects of his game.

The video shows Sancho training at Dutch amateur side OJC Rosmalen to not only improve his game but also ensure that he can keep his fitness ticking over.

According to United journalist Laurie Whitwell, Sancho is working with Netherlands coaches that have been advocated by United manager Erik ten Hag, which can only benefit the England man, who has been capped by his country 23 times [Transfermarkt.com].

The United number 25, started the season in good form with two goals in his first five appearances against Liverpool and Leicester respectively, however, since starting the Arsenal game in September, the former Borussia Dortmund man has struggled to recapture his early season form.

However, this break due to the World Cup could revitalise Sancho and provide him with fresh energy as he has had a challenging few months.

United saw the best of Sancho in the 4-2 win against Leeds at Elland Road last season, where he showed his calmness at critical moments as he delayed his pass pass to Fred, who scored a thunderbolt from close range after making an underlapping run.

Hopefully from a United perspective Sancho can show more moments like this after the break because after all United did pay ÂŁ73 million for services [Sky Sports] and his calmness under pressure can be a useful asset for ten Hag as he aims to accelerate United’s process of becoming a much more possession based team, which would arguably suit Sancho as we saw from his Dortmund days.
