Sancho will return to training soon – Muppetiers reports

|

According to the Muppetiers, they are saying that Jadon Sancho will return to training with the main group at Carrington soon after working on his individual programme.

Having Sancho back in a good mental and physical headspace is a boost for Erik ten Hag, who should be given credit as to how well he has handled him and the situation, and throughout this period, it arguably shows how much the Dutchman believes in his talent.

The United number 25 has not featured for the club since that 1-1 draw with Chelsea at the end of October and last month he was sent to the Netherlands to work on aspects of his game with coaches that were recommended by the United boss [Vital United].

He was not part of the United squad that flew to Spain during the World Cup as he was working on an individual programme, which was agreed in conjunction with the manager and the player.

The United boss was asked about why Sancho was not included in the Spain trip and the Dutchman said that, “He’s not fit enough. Sometimes there are circumstances with fitness and mood. Now he’s on a physical programme and our aim is to get him back as quickly as possible” [The Athletic].

The Athletic are reporting that the fact that Sancho is training away from the first team means that he has not been exiled or dropped, instead the club see this as an opportunity for Sancho to “get back on track in terms of fitness and mindset” reported Andy Mitten for The Athletic back in December.

On Saturday, he was pictured taking a photo with a fan ahead of the Manchester derby, and he looked in good spirits as he looks to get back to the levels that we saw from the United number 25 at the start of the season, where he scored in the wins over Liverpool and Leicester in the first five games of the season.

Whilst we will wait for an official update from ten Hag, the Muppetiers are reliable and have good sources within the club so it would be good to assume that Sancho is now on the verge of returning to training and that is a brilliant sign as hopefully he can show the rest of the world what he is capable of, because the United fans know there is a player in there.
