Manchester United Target Has A Change Of Heart And Now Wants Old Trafford Move

Yesterday, with any plans to sign Jadon Sancho in disarray, speculation emerged that Manchester United were looking at bringing in an alternative.

Numerous column inches implied that Manchester United’s first-choice would be Ousmane Dembele.

In our article – manchester-united-linked-with-the-acquisition-of-barcelona-striker – we did not exactly gush with enthusiasm citing his injury problems since joining Barcelona and also his apparent reluctance to leave Barcelona.

But that reluctance, according to The Mirror, is no longer a problem with the 23-year-old now wanting to become a Manchester United player, although it should be pointed out that Barcelona have, as of yet, not given any indication that they are willing to lose the player.

Furthermore, in another twist, the Spanish news source Mundodeportivo, is running with the suggestion that Dembele’s international team-mate, Paul Pogba, has spoken to Dembele to persuade him that a move to Old Trafford is the way forward.

If a deal is to be done, with the summer transfer window closing at 23:00 hours on Monday, any deal for either a loan move or a permanent deal, will have to be orchestrated quickly.

However, I remain unconvinced that Ousmane Dembele is the answer to our problems.
