Manchester United Set To Rival Chelsea For England International Defender

|

If you believe the media speculation, Manchester United could be set to spend big on acquiring a new left-back.

According to The Mirror,
Manchester United are now set to compete, with Chelsea, for the services of the Leicester City player, Ben Chilwell

Our source is reporting that the West London club are reluctant to meet the £80 million asking price Leicester City have put on the head of the 23-year-old England international.

In these times where the COVID-19 pandemic has hit football finances hard, Leicester’s demand does seem a little high and it remains to be seen, if the interest from United and Chelsea is genuine, just where this speculation leads.

My view is that a fee of £50 million should be the limit, but whether that’ll be matched by Chelsea or indeed tempt Leicester City into a sale remains to be seen.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we’ll keep a watchful eye out for any concrete developments.
