According to The Mirror, the Old Trafford hierarchy has agreed on terms with the Porto full-back, Alex Telles.
Telles, a 27-year-old international defender, has, as our referenced source is championing, agreed to terms for a five-year deal and his arrival could be imminent.
However, before we all do a mini jig of delight, I feel obliged to also announce that another source, this time from Portugal, Ojogo.pt, implies that Manchester United have serious competition for the player with Paris Saint-Germain having stepped up their interest to sign the defender.
I have my fingers crossed in the hope that Manchester United can get this deal across the line as Telles would bring that little something extra to our starting eleven.

I think Man u policy is spot on. Why keep paying top whack for a player who could break a leg in his first season. (memories of Neil Web come back) Getting Donny was good value for money and I think Man U should forgret Sancho even though he has been in amazing form. If we hold out it will help us in the future making transfers. We have an exciting group of attackers and midfielders now. Yes we need more if we are to sustain form all year. The last couple of years you can see players form get worse due to fatigue so a bigger squad is needed but Woodward has been buying exciting youth prosepects and i suspect his and Ole’s vision is for the future. This team has an exciting one. My opinion is Woodward doesn’t get enough credit for what he does. We came 3rd last season and we bought some exciting players. It’s only going to get better so i say have some faith. Be a supporter and the belief and goodwill you share will have much more of a positive effect than slamming/trolling people when we can never really see what goes on behind the scenes and are not fit to judge in the first place. I never saw anyone say well done when we signed Bruno. I saw the threats before we did though. Negativity gets you nowhere. The way we played against Sevilla in the semi final was sublime at times. I felt i was watching pure magic the harlem globe trotters of football at play. It took my breathaway at times. We didn’t win the game but in my mind we were far the better team and if i had paid to see that game i would have been happy to see my team play that way. It’s just the matter of time and i was one of the few that supported ole from the start right through even when things got tough. I do agree that Woodward is damn slow in closing signings. However, I believe he will manage to eventually sign Sancho. If he does, we the fans will be happy. Telles signing should be a straight forward one and Woodward will not be forgiven if he screws this one up.
