Manchester United Rule Out A Move For One Of The Best Players In The Championship

|

Although the perception is that the summer transfer window has closed, that is not the case.

Until the 16-October clubs can still trade with EFL clubs, the window remains open for the Premier League clubs to sign the best players the EFL has to offer.

However, it appears that any chances of Manchester United making a swoop for a player who starred in the Premier League, last season, have been ruled out.

Lurking in the pages of Goal, is the inference that the clubs’ hierarchy have ruled out making a move for Ismaila Sarr.

The 22-year-old Senegalese international possesses lightening space and troubled numerous Premier League defences last season and could have been a prized asset for Manchester United.

But I can recall, when the speculation was at its height, Watford were looking at a fee said to be of the magnitude of £40 million.

Now whether any other Premier League clubs are willing to take a chance on Sarr remains to be seen.

If they do, it will be interesting to see how he fares playing for a side that is not, like Watford last season, involved in a relegation battle.

Have Manchester United taken the right decision when it comes to Sarr?
