Manchester United Face Injury Crisis Ahead Of Valencia Fixture

|

Tonight, with Manchester United concluding their Champions’ League Group campaign with an away fixture, in Spain, against Valencia, Jose Mourinho has something of an injury crisis to contend with.

Although the fixture is, for Manchester United, virtually meaningless with the club already having qualified for the knockout stages of the competition, the competitive instinct within the club would welcome a win to further boost confidence ahead of a weekend showdown, at Anfield, with Liverpool.

We know, for certain, that our centre-back, Victor Lindelof, has already been ruled out, but, it also transpires that four other defenders were absent from training on Tuesday, the quartet being;

• Chris Smalling
• Diogo Dalot
• Luke Shaw

and

• Matteo Darmian

Throw into the mix the fact that one of our strike force, Anthony Martial, is also struggling with a side strain hints that we may be witnessing something of a disjointed line-up tonight.

Keep those fingers crossed that some of those listed above make miraculous recoveries.
