Man United Line-Up confirmed

|

Erik ten Hag has selected his line-up for Manchester United’s game against Cadiz CF, which gets underway at 7pm UK time.

With a number of United players playing for their respective nations at the World Cup, the game against Cadiz CF gives ten Hag an opportunity to look at those players who are on the fringes of the main starting XI.

It also gives him an opportunity to see which players can convince him that they deserve to be a part of United’s first competitive Starting XI after the World Cup, which is against Burnley at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup on 21st December.

Two players who are looking to impress the manager and stake a claim are Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Brandon Williams after they have both recovered from their respective injuries, and both full-backs start for United with Wan-Bissaka on the right and Williams on the left.

This is the first time that ten Hag will get to see Williams in action because he missed the pre-season tour to Thailand and Australia because of injury. There is also a start for centre backs, Victor Lindelof and Teden Mengi, who himself is back from injury.

Scott McTominay captains the side and starts in centre midfield alongside the promising youngster, Zidane Iqbal in what looks like a 4-2-3-1 formation that Erik ten Hag has selected.

The exciting trio of Anthony Elanga, Anthony Martial and Alejandro Garnacho start for United, in what looks like a tasty attack and they will be supported by Donny van de Beek, who plays in the number 10 role in Spain.

There is one notable absentee from the squad and that is the absence of David de Gea, who has been replaced by Martin Dubravka between the sticks.

Man United team: Dubravka, Wan-Bissaka, Mengi, Lindelof, Williams, McTominay (C), Iqbal, Elanga, van de Beek, Garnacho, Martial
