Ibrahimovic Leaves United for LA Galaxy

|

Yesterday, the news broke that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Manchester United were set to part company.

The Swede, who enjoyed a great first season with Manchester United before it was curtailed by injury, has struggled to re-establish himself as a regular choice since making a full recovery from his knee problem.

In fact, since signing a deal until the end of the season, Ibrahimovic has made just seven appearances.

With both parties agreeing to curtail the contract tying the two together, Ibrahimovic, now 36-years-of-age, will move on to the next stage of his hugely successful career by moving to the US, to join LA Galaxy.

Talking about the move, Ibrahimovic has remarked, on his Instagram site,

‘It is time to move on after two fantastic seasons with Manchester United.

‘Great things also come to an end. Thank you to the club, the fans, the team, the coach, the staff and everybody who shared with me this part of my history.’

With Manchester United paying homage to the Swede by commenting,

‘Everyone at the club would like to thank Zlatan for his contribution to the team since his arrival and wishes him well for the future.’

The curtain falls on the Manchester United career of Zlatan Ibrahimovic with the player having made 53 appearances and scoring 29 goals.

At his age, his tenure was always going to be short but it`s a pleasure to say it was also very sweet, good luck in the US Zlatan from all at Vital Manchester United.
