“I don’t have respect for Erik ten Hag” – Ronaldo bombshell

|

Cristiano Ronaldo has given an explosive interview to Piers Morgan’s uncensored channel that will be aired on Wednesday night and Thursday night on TalkTV.

In the interview a number of topics were discussed and Ronaldo let his frustration on his time at Manchester United be known.

Ronaldo is unhappy with his lack of game time this season as he has only started 4 Premier League games all season, and it is clear that he is not in manager Erik ten Hag’s plans.

Due to him almost being surplus to requirements under the Dutchman, Ronaldo in the interview spoke about his lack of respect for the United manager, which is not something that you would expect from a senior professional.

Ronaldo said that “I don’t have respect for Erik ten Hag because he doesn’t show respect for me”.

“If you don’t have respect for me, I will never have any for you”.

This is a strong statement from Ronaldo, and it in some ways strengthens Erik ten Hag’s hand because the Man United fans, and players, as well as the hierarchy will side with the manager over their star player, who tried to force an exit from Old Trafford in the summer.

Ronaldo also had some more words to say about the United manager and other United members as he said “I feel betrayed” by them.

The Portuguese, who will be representing his country at his fifth World Cup next week also recalls that the club “tried to force me out”, which does not reflect on the full story because it emerged during the summer that Ronaldo himself wanted to leave Old Trafford [Sky Sports].

“Man United tried to force me out. Not only the manager, but also the other guys who are around the club. I felt betrayed”.

“I feel that some people didn’t want me at Manchester United, not only this year but last season too”.
